How Rise works
Rise is a token launchpad on Solana. Anyone can launch a coin in one click. It trades on a bonding curve, and when the curve sells out, all liquidity moves to a Raydium pool and the LP tokens are burned forever.
[ 00 ] The 30-second version
- 1Launch 1 click
Pick a name, ticker and image. Rise mints 1B tokens, locks the metadata and revokes mint and freeze authority. No presale, no team allocation, no launch fee.
- 2Trade on the curve 0% fee
Every buy pushes the price up, every sell pushes it down. The price is set by math, not by an order book, and trading on the curve is free.
- 3Fill the curve ≈85 SOL
Once all 793.10M curve tokens are sold, the curve is complete and trading on it stops.
- 4Graduate LP burned
Liquidity moves to a Raydium CPMM pool at exactly the final curve price. The LP tokens are burned, so the liquidity can never be pulled.
[ 01 ] The bonding curve
The curve is a constant-product market maker on virtual reserves. It starts with 30 virtual SOL and 1.07B virtual tokens, and keeps their product constant:
When you buy, your SOL is added to the SOL side and tokens leave the token side, so each next token costs a little more. Selling does the reverse. The virtual reserves only set the starting price. The SOL you pay is real and sits in the curve vault.
[ 02 ] Launching a token
Creating a coin is one wallet signature. In that single transaction Rise:
- creates a classic SPL token with 6 decimals and Metaplex metadata (name, ticker, image, links);
- mints the whole 1B supply into the curve vault;
- revokes the mint authority (no one can ever mint more) and never sets a freeze authority (no one can freeze your wallet);
- makes the metadata immutable;
- optionally runs your dev buy atomically, so you get the first tokens at the base price.
[ 03 ] Buying and selling
Buy with SOL or sell for SOL straight from the token page. Presets help you move fast: 0.1 / 0.5 / 1 SOL for buys and 25 / 50 / 75 / 100% of your bag for sells.
You pay SOL and nothing else: trading on the curve has no fee. Tokens out = vT × sol ÷ (vS + sol). If your buy is bigger than what is left, it is clamped to the remaining tokens and you only pay for those.
You hand back tokens and receive every lamport the curve quotes, with no fee. SOL out = vS × tokens ÷ (vT + tokens). A sell can never pay out more SOL than the curve holds.
- Slippage. Every trade carries a minimum output. If the price moves past your slippage setting before it lands, the trade fails and you keep your funds.
- Rounding favors the pool. A buy-then-sell round trip can never make a profit, so the curve can't be drained by rounding tricks.
- No empty trades. A buy that yields zero tokens or a sell that pays zero SOL is refused.
[ 04 ] Anti-snipe protection
Bots love to buy a coin in the same block it launches, then dump on everyone who comes after. Rise blocks that with base rules that always apply, plus one of four modes. The mode is fixed for each coin when it launches. New coins use the one-second launch tax by default.
No public buys in the launch slot. Only the creator's own dev buy, and in buyout mode the platform buy, run there, inside the create transaction.
Every create and buy needs the Rise co-signer, so bots can't call the program directly or bundle their own buys with a launch.
Every trade transaction expires shortly after it is built, so nobody can stockpile signed trades.
The four modes
For the first ≈1 second after launch (3 slots) every buy pays a 99% fee, so a bot that buys the instant a coin appears keeps only 1% of its SOL. From then on, trading is free with no caps. People opening the coin page are never that fast, so they never see the fee.
For the first 20 slots (≈8 seconds) a buy pays a fee that starts at 50% and falls to 0%, and one transaction can buy at most 2 SOL. After that, trading is free.
Rise buys 2 SOL of the coin in the launch slot, in the same transaction that creates it. The cheapest tokens go to the Rise treasury instead of a sniper. The buy is a normal trade on the chart. No fees or caps after it.
Buys in the first 20 slots are capped at 2 SOL and the tokens stay locked for 10 minutes. A sniper can't dump on the first buyers, so sniping stops paying. No fees. When the lock ends, you claim the tokens on the coin page, even after graduation.
[ 05 ] Graduation to Raydium
The moment the last curve token is sold, the curve is marked complete. A crank then calls migrate, which anyone can call. It is permissionless, so no one can hold a coin hostage. In one atomic transaction:
- 6 SOL migration fee is set aside to pay for the Raydium pool and account rent.
- The remaining 79.005 SOL is paired with 192.28M tokens, priced at exactly the final curve price. No price gap at graduation.
- The unneeded 14.62M reserved tokens are burned.
- A Raydium CPMM pool is created at an address only Rise can sign for, so it can't be front-run.
- 100% of the LP tokens are burned. The liquidity is locked forever.
- Whatever is left of the migration fee is swept to the protocol.
Rise migrates to Raydium CPMM, Raydium's current constant-product pool program, not the older AMM v4 that early launchpads used. CPMM is a plain x·y=k pool with no order book to set up, and it works with the classic SPL token standard that every Rise coin uses.

Graduation is a direct cross-program call (CPI) from the Rise program into Raydium CPMM's initialize instruction, signed by a PDA that only the program controls, so no wallet ever holds the pool assets. The pool address is a Rise PDA as well, so nobody can pre-create or squat it. The CPMM instruction is built from its 8-byte Anchor discriminator and account list, and the tests check both against Raydium's upstream source. The full migration runs in the test suite against Raydium's real CPMM program binary.
